The musseques of Cazenga, Sambizanga and São Paulo constitute one of the most depressed suburbs of Luanda, where almost 2,500,000 people live in absolute poverty and marginality without access to drinking water, without drainage ditches, without water pipes and without sewage treatment and where garbage accumulates in every corner, specifically Cerâmica-Cazenga-Luanda.In practice, even families, supposedly privileged, with one member working for the State could not survive. They have to resort to informal trade to cover all expenses such as: food, health, school. If we add to this the high unemployment rate in the area, the levels of vulnerability, extreme poverty, violence and marginality are among the worst in Africa.
